On my recent getaway to Singapore, I decided to book my ride around the city from Blacklane. Blacklane is an app based car rental service provider which provide airport transfers and limousine services in over 250 cities worldwide. I had been hearing a lot of good things about them from my friends, so I wanted to try them out. Also, I wasn’t really feeling up to the task of bargaining with the local cabbies, or trying to catch a cab in Singapore’s always busy road. Blacklane also includes a free 15 minutes waiting time for their limousine rides. And the best thing; you can cancel your ride up to one hour prior to your reservation, for free! So no need to worry if there’s a change of plans.
THE CAR:
So I booked my ride for Singapore well in advance. When the day came, the car arrived my destination on time, as I was expecting. But what I wasn’t expecting, was how awesome the car was! It was a beautiful black Audi, with extremely comfortable interiors. The car looked almost new, and I was sold the moment I saw the car. It was luxurious, comfortable, and stylish – and I thoroughly enjoyed my ride through the roads of Singapore.
THE SERVICE:
With great car comes great service – at least with Blacklane. Their service was extremely professional and top notch, I must admit. Our driver was really polite and friendly. He understood and spoke English, so communication wasn’t an issue at all. The car came with complimentary packaged drinking water, which was great. Our driver looked really professional when it came to the driving. It seemed he was quite experienced and knew the roads of Singapore quite well. We visited quite a lot of tourist spots where he had to wait in the car as we went down and roamed around, and not once did he seem displeased with all the waiting. He dropped us off in front of our hotel when the hours were up, and bade us farewell with a smile.
All in all, my experience with Blacklane was truly a remarkable one. As an avid traveler, I know the pain of trying to catch a cab at an unknown city. First of all there’s language barrier, and on top of that, there’s always a chance of getting conned. With Blacklane all of those worries go away.
